The TM-U200D is the newest Epson printer on the market introduced this year as an alternative to the Star Micronics SP200 series printer. As with any new product you may want to wait and see, but because it's Epson, you really can't go wrong with this one. This printer is interchangeable with the Star Micronics SP200. The TM-U200D features medium speed dot matrix printing, dual cash drawer support, and multi-copy receipts without the ability to have a journal rewinder.

The TM-T85 thermal receipt printer offers high speed printing (12LPS @ 42 columns) at a lower cost than was available until late in 1995. It prints on a 3.125" wide receipt, cannot validate checks since it is thermal, has a built-in automatic receipt cutter and supports dual cash drawers. This printer is available with either a serial or parallel interface.

The TM-295 is strictly a Slip Printer which is used in applications such as Restaurants and Night Clubs where sales are cumulative. They are also used for printing credit card forms. They require custom programming within an application in order to handle the complex actions such as remembering where on the slip that the last line was printed. This printer is available with a serial or parallel interface and supports two cash drawers from the peripheral drive circuit. Compulsion is also supported.
